Multilateral Development Banks Committed More Than USD 35 Billion to Climate Finance in 2017

Since 2012, the multilateral development banks have reported jointly on their commitments on climate finance. This year's report shows an increase in finance for projects that mitigate climate change and support adaptation. In 2017 the banks jointly committed USD 35.2 billion. This includes climate finance from the World Bank Group, the Inter-American Development Bank Group, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the African Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
