A new power purchase agreement (PPA) was signed between JCM Matswani Solar Corp Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) and Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Limited (ESCOM) for a 60MW solar PV plant. InfraCo Africa, the development fund that backs the SPV, has committed USD 2.3 million to co-develop the solar project. It will be the first commercial-scale solar PV plant in Malawi.
