The European Union High-level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance issued its final report and recommendations to the European Commission on Financing a Sustainable Economy. The report lays down a blueprint for reform of the entire financial system to support the EU in meeting its goals under the 2015 Paris Agreement and deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals. The report also provides a set of recommendations, a pathway on how to undertake that reform. It suggests among others the creation of a Sustainable Infrastructure Europe, an umbrella entity that will support the development of sustainable infrastructure projects across all member states.
