Canadian Government Sets Up a New Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund for Infrastructure

The Government of Canada announced the establishment of a CAD 2 billion Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF) for large-scale infrastructure projects. The fund aims to support and strengthen the current infrastructure against the impacts of climate change and will also support new infrastructure projects, including natural infrastructure. The DMAF is a 10-year program and is part of the CAD 180 billion "Investing in Canada" infrastructure plan.
