Canadian Municipalities Invest in Modern, Resilient and Green Infrastructure

Share

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities offers funding opportunities for sustainable infrastructure investment and asset management.

Building on the Green Municipal Fund (GMF), the Municipal Asset Management Program aims for climate-resilient, low-carbon and sustainable Canadian communities. The program does this through project funding, trainings and information-sharing.

For example, the City of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, is designing an innovation hub on sustainable infrastructure using funding from GMF. Last week, the City of Fort Saskatchewan announced its receipt of $50,000.00 dollars for a project on Asset Management – Strategy and Project Planning.
