Following the initial report published in September 2018, the Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) now presents their 2018 Green Bond Market Summary.

The growth of the green bond market has slowed down and totals 3 per cent compared to 2017, totalling USD 167.3 billion, with 24 deals still under assessment to be included in the CBI green bond database.

Although overall growth is slowing down, new market participants are entering the green bond market in Asia and Europe.

Energy, buildings and transport still account for over three quarters of the total use of proceeds in 2018, with waste and land use comprising an increasing portion of the total.
