The NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility advocated for a regional information hub for infrastructure projects across Africa, hosted by the African Development Bank. According to NEPAD, the hub would be hugely beneficial to advertise bankable projects. It would serve a dual purpose: on the one hand, it can serve as a platform for information sharing on projects that investors in Africa may want to look at. On the other, it can serve as a help desk where countries can scale up capacity for project preparation and development. A regional hub will also foster more partnerships between African countries to make the region more attractive for investors. For example, a more integrated energy market across borders would make investments in energy infrastructure more attractive. In this regard, the hub can help unlock investment opportunities and make them more visible to potential investors.
